Pickin’ and Grinnin’
I started playing piano when I was around 6 years old. I used to hate sitting and practicing. The only thing that got me through it was the promise of playing “fun songs” once my practice was done.
When I was older I tried to learn my dad’s guitar. I got about three chords in. I found it kinda hard to play because my hands are so small. A few years later I bought a mandolin. I figured the smaller neck would make it easier to play. I started listening to a lot of bluegrass music to hear how the mandolin should sound. I realized pretty quickly that I really enjoyed bluegrass so I decided to expand my collection.

By no means am I an expert but just like my photography, I do it for myself. I find enjoyment and satisfaction from it. I will never make a dime off of any of my hobbies but I do them because I enjoy it.
