Welcome!

Thank you for coming!

I recently took a course with Greg Johnson of Tornado Hunters. It was such an amazing learning experience. I learned so much about how to properly use my camera to get the most out of it. I learned that it really isn't as complicated as it looks. I learned how to frame pictures and how to make them more interesting. But more importantly, I learned to take as many pictures as humanly possible. That's the key. Quantity leads to Quality!

I was looking around the other day for a good spot to showcase my photos. Facebook? Twitter? Instagram? None of these options felt right to me. Either too public, too crazy or too overrun by ads. I just want a simple place where my friends and family can go if they want to see what I've been up to lately. So here we are.

I chose the name Photo Bug for a couple reasons. Photography has always been a passion for me. It was always there in the back of my mind whenever I see something pretty - I feel the need to take a picture of it.  Hopefully I have my camera on me and I can do so but it really bugs me when I don't and the moment passes me by. I also have a feeling that I may "bug" a few people with my constant snapping!

I will be posting on a semi-regular basis with selections of my favourite photos that I have taken. Feel free to comment which ones you like best and what kind of pictures you would like to see. I love shooting landscapes and especially birds. Since it's winter right now I hope to get some nice frosty pictures.  Fingers crossed.

I hope you enjoy your time here!

These are some of the pictures I took during the camera course.
