Challenging Challenges

This month's challenge was called "Your Town." And it has been the most challenging challenge yet! I like taking pictures of landscapes, sunsets, birds, trees, and fields. If I take a picture in a city, it's in a park in that city! My mom used to constantly tell me to take more "people pictures." Eww, I would always say, I don't like taking pictures of people. I like nature and people always ruin nature pictures. And now I have to intentionally take pictures where people and streets and cars are. Weird.

Since I work downtown, I decided to take my camera to work one day and use my lunch hour to walk around and see if I could see anything interesting. It is difficult to find the beauty in the streets. I really struggled with this one!! I took 114 pictures during my lunch hour. I like 6 of them*. I think I will submit two of them to the competition (the first two). 

My husband and I are going to Regina next Saturday for a conference he is attending. We are staying right downtown. My plan is to spend the morning wandering around downtown and see if I can't find more beauty in the city. There should be plenty to see there. I'll try and post my favourites so keep an eye out for that.

*My theory is for every 50 pictures I take, I hope to get one that I like. It seems to be a good ratio for me.
