Discoveries
I opened my phone this morning hoping to find something interesting. I opened the Google Maps app and scrolled around. The satellite feature is an interesting one. It shows where the creeks and the coulees are. It also showed me a small bridge just out of town. So I thought I'd give it a shot. Little did I know it was the famous Black Bridge of Black Bridge Brewery.
I parked my car up a ways and walked down to see it. But before I could walk two feet, I heard the screech of a hawk. I have a soft spot for hawks. That's putting it mildly. I have loved hawks since I can remember. I used to stare out of the window of my bedroom and watch hawks soaring overhear. Every time I take a walk or a drive, I am always looking to see if I can see a hawk. So once I heard that cry, I immediately looked for where it came from. And there it was...
Then it was on to the Bridge. Like a lot of things on the prairies, it presents as simple. But closer up, and in the right light, it can show you its beauty...
I have been looking for my "style" as a photographer. That thing that unifies all of my photos, or at least that thing that I love to shoot more than anything else. I don't know if I've found it yet, but I will say that it has become very obvious to me that I love a barbed fence.
